Hi. This is more a query about how you have altered the dog registration costs. According to the information pack the increase is required to increase the take, and move this from 80% to 100%, to reflect the actual costs and recover more. So that got me wondering what the actual costs are… hope you can help: 1. What are the actual costs? What do you need the $157 for? What does this $ go towards exactly? 2. We get a rebate for being responsible/desexed/no complaints - but you’ve increased the charge for complaints from $50 to $61. Shouldn’t this increase also be reflected in the rebates (which haven’t changed, no complaints rebate is $35)? 3. We get a rebate of $80 currently from the full fee of $120 (thanks!) so $40 if pup and us are good - so is that the ‘actual’ cost (at 80%), so to increase that to 100% is $48?? The proposed fee increase is $157, still with a rebate (no change) of $80, so $77 - that’s a nearly doubled rate increase! At the end of the day I get it - user pays - but what am I paying for? The numbers don’t make sense to me so would appreciate some clarity, thanks.
