A coat of paint on some of the main street buildings will do wonders for the look of the town. Either owners of these properties needs to be held accountable or the community needs to step in as it's just getting worse every year. Te Aroha is starting to feel like the middle child. Unacceptable that some places are housing people that don't really care what the state of the place looks like from the outside

Any other comments on Te Aroha Library:
In my opinion the upgrade of the existing library will be the most cost effective option. This is a landmark worthy building. There are no other viable buildings available to move to and building a new one is going to be a costly and drawn out project given the cost of building in general

*Library - Annual fee for non residents can increase to cover more costs for residents *Dog ownership fee too high, either lower or increase rebate amount as even more unregistered dogs are going to show up *Dog impounding charges are very low. There is really not much motivation for some people to properly contain their dogs. *Increase dangerous dog %. The last year has shown there are too many dangerous animals roaming the streets
