Alternative option: Continue to steadily improve walking and cycling connections, but over a longer time frame?

Some of the local hiking, walking tracks have suffered badly during the past year due to weather events. Example: bridge on Tui Domain track, near Tui Road entrance. This now presents an unattractive and long detour for walkers coming down the mountain road, when previously expecting to take route through bush back to the domain after hiking up the straight line from there.
