A library in Te Aroha is an essential service for the town for those of all ages. Many people are unable to afford to purchase books whether they are from a bookshop or on line. To suggest that residents of Te Aroha and nearby areas can travel to other towns to meet their requirements reflects an ignorance of the cost of the travel (plus adding to carbon cost) and the means of travel plus the great pleasure of having our own library. Te Aroha deserves an improved library and not have to come second to Morrinsville or Matamata. The building can be multi functional and a community hub.
