Te Aroha Spa

What do you think we should do?

Alternative option: Stop work on it all together?

Any other comments on Te Aroha Spa:

The 2021 LTP had support to do it right, this option to continue investigating options is not in accordance with that directive. Therefore we support the Alternative Option: Stop work on it altogether. We also submit that the funds previously allocated to the Spa Development should remain in Te Aroha and for Te Aroha Projects. We support that Te Aroha Maunga is central to the identity and future of our town. Therefore Council should make the projects on our Maunga a priority. We also support the KTAB submission on this topic.

Walking and cycling improvements

What do you think we should do?

Alternative option: Continue to steadily improve walking and cycling connections, but over a longer time frame?

Do you have any comments on this?

We would like to see Council stick to its commitments in each LTP - yes we know we need to repriortise, but we get to a point where not much happens, good things for our community get pushed out and we lose the opportunities to make some really neat things happen for our towns. So although we support improvements over a longer timeframe, previously imminent commitments need to be upheld.
