i think raising dog registration fees is preposterous we already pay to much all you will do is force the honest people to go the other way and fail to register the dogs. i think we should be looking at solving the problem with the cat registration this happens in other part of the world including Australia they had a huge feral cat problem as i believe we have hear and brought i cat law whereas dogs they are registered microchipped and had to where a bell on their collar to help prevent hunting of native birds if they were picked up without these things they were considered feral and destroyed i have three little dogs all registered if they bark they get scrutinized my surrounding Nieboers have 6 cats between them who constantly run around the Neiborhood with the other hundreds in Morrinsville and raising rates people are really hurting at the moment young single income families trying to hang on to their first home with rises everywhere at the moment they will end up in mortgagee sales and waiting for housing NZ accommodation so much for the kiwi dream i think council infrastructure like spa exploration should be put on a as needed basis
